In accordance with the Guidance for Modifications to the Grid Code, SONI are required to consult on Modifications to the Grid Code. SONI are consulting on a modification to include Energy Storage Power Stations into the Grid Code. This is in addition to the previous Energy Storage Power Station modification that added them to the PPM Setting Schedule.
This update is including Energy Storage Power Stations in the parts of the Grid Code that weren’t considered in the Phase 1 update. The Phase 1 Energy Storage Power Station update was added to the Grid Code when the Utility Regulator approved on the 5th December 2023.
